Youth Group at Holy Trinity Parish gathers on Sunday after the 10:30 am Mass. It’s an environment where young people can come to discover not only the truth in our Catholic-Christian faith, but begin to form deeper relationships with Jesus and with each other.
The culture today contradicts and weakens our faith in many different environments. We aim to foster an environment where the youth can open themselves without fear to ask the big questions that can’t be answered in the public schools, and to receive the truth according to the saints and 2000 years of Catholic thought and reflection.
A common reaction today to the word “religion” is to connect it with a set of rules to live by or just another human organization. Not true; in its original Latin roots, the word religion means to “choose again” and it refers to mending and strengthening our personal and communal relationship with God that was damaged. Here, we aim to discover the beauty of encountering Christ with others, whereby you gain Christ as a friend, and you walk toward Him with others.
Youth, as Jesus said to His first followers, “Come and See!”
